Why do I obsess over eating so much?

I am female, 5’9 and 138 pounds. I sometimes binge eat and recently I havnt been eating healthily really, my boyfriend has been buying us ice cream and renting movies and stuff so Iv been having alot of calories. I tried to do the lemonade diet but i felt so weak that I had to eat. Today I have eaten

i’m the exact same as you right now except i’m 137.

really, just know in your mind how much you are eating and base your diet around that. it’s ok to splurge as long as it’s within reason of your needed daily caloric intake, but making a daily habit of it is not good.

to get the best of both worlds, i eat whatever the heck i want about 75% of the time within reason, but in smaller quantity. so let’s say i want chick-fil-a, i don’t just order a combo with sandwich, drink and fries, I’ll just get the sandwich and a water and have a couple of my husband’s fries just to get the taste. I limit to 1-2 sodas per week (when i’m being good) and just wait until i REALLY want one to have one. Otherwise I just drink water.

The point is don’t obsess too much because you’ll find yourself depressed because you can’t eat what you want. But don’t clean your plate, drink water instead of sugar drinks, and make your splurge meals count and make healthy ones count too.
