I need hair help! please!?

Ok so i have, i mean had, thick/curly hair. i dyed it alot and straighten it all the time. i recently have stopped dying it, but i still straighten it. but lately my hair has gone from really curly to wavy/straight and when it is humid outside, one side of my hair gets curly like normal, but the other side is pin straight. i dont know what the deal is. i use biosilk shampoo right now and i love it, but im thinking of using an organic shampoo, i really wanna try organix (the red healing one). today i went to kroger and i saw that “chi” has a shampoo thats for curly hair, and i thought that that was perfect considering i want my curly hair back but my dad said that the curly shampooos never work. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE! please help, any suggestions?! oh by the way, im 15 years old and im a girl

Since your Dad seems to be interested, ask him if he will spring for a visit to a good cosmetologist. Not because I am a retired one; but, you have major problems. You need a good hair assesment and a good hair cut. Nothing drastic, just enough to get rid of old damaged hair. If you cannot afford this, I suggest that you stop doing anything for the time being. Just use a good shampoo and conditioner and let your hair have a rest. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Let dry naturally if you can, do not even use a blow dryer. Do not straighten. Go to local beauty supply and use their input, it’s free advice. They also carry generics of most good hair products. Try generic Redken for now, just a good shampoo and conditioner, nothing for this or that. Just chill and study your hair for a while. Let it breathe. After about atleast three weeks, re-asses. Notice any changes, etc. If your hair is long, sometimes this tends to “drag” your face down. Opt out for some shorter sides, “flybacks” or new
cut, longer in front with a layered/weighted back. Atleast get ends trimmed nothing looks worse than thin, broken, damaged ends. If you can afford find a well recommended cosmetologist/beauty consultant, one that will “work” with you and get to know you and your hair. Atleast for hair cuts, do not dye your hair anymore. I had daughters and one of the best things, this is not for hair, but thinking about your future, etc. a good modeling agency, etc. for just a week of personal “self esteem” training, helps you to have poise, how to walk, how to hold your hands, etc. I do remember what it was like to be fifteen and always wanted my daughters to have good self images. I hope this helps you and remember, first and foremost, BE YOU. You do not have to follow trends,fads,etc. Notice the girls taking piano and dance lessons, don’t be fooled, their Mother’s/Father’s are grooming them for Miss _____________ Freshman/Jr/Sr/Miss Cong.
