Can I use Neem Oil Solution on RUST on my apple tree?

Or is there any other organic solution out there that I can use? We had bought 2 apple trees and transplanted them. They did have the rust on them, and the sales guy said to just spray it. But we would like to deal with this the organic way. Thanks for your time

Rust can’t be “cured” once it shows up, only prevented, or keep it from spreading.

Raking the leaves and disposing of them in the fall will help, as the spores of many kinds of fungus overwinter on the fallen leaves. You can use organic fungicides – but you need to start at petal fall in the spring, and continue at 7 to 10 day intervals to keep the problems at bay.

Not sure if Need oil will take car of rust, too, but it does prevent a number of fungal problems. I use Bonide’s Orchard Spray, which has both an insecticide and sulfur for fungal issues, and is organic.
