Organic Ant Control

Get Rid of Unpleasant Ants in your house
The invasion of ants inside your house is the worst thing of all. A myriad of ants are unnecessary pests may it be red ants, fire ants or black ants. That’s why ant control is vital to take should you not desire to leave behind your house’s great supports, which unfortunately are the usual targets of such creatures.
People consider most ants as a form of irritation. You will find ants from the south called fire ants. These ants are very destructive and hostile, their sting can be a source of simple reactions that runs to vomiting or nausea to a more brutal and serious reactions. If a fire ant hill or mound is alarmed or disrupted, the ants there will be very destructive and will aggressively sting anyone who intrudes there mound repeatedly. Additionally, there are ants called red imported fire ants that can bring about damage or harm to buildings and homes. An ant hill that’s made inside or surrounding the air con unit will eventually destroy the unit.
A large number of Leaf cutter ants or red ants will attack a vegetable garden. They aren’t as aggressive and destructive as the fire ants, nevertheless they destroy and damage your plant tops in a confirmed time. The Florida carpenter ant is a red-black and pure black flying ants having a length of ¼ of an inch are not so common when compared to fire ants. Very colony of the carpenter ants can create adult ants with wings once each year to look for a new place that can be their location in order to start new colonies. Carpenter ants choose soft woods that are decaying to pass into and build their nests.
There are several types of removing these ants in your lawn or garden starting with organic pest control procedures. You can begin by pouring boiling water into the ants to allow them to be drowned with as much as boiling water of three gallons to drown each ant hill or ant mound. Use a natural repellent such as water and citrus after the boiling water. You may also blend it employing a blender before pouring it on the mound of the ants. Another example of remedy that is natural is blend equal measurement of borax and sugar. Then put the blend of borax around your yard in small boxes or containers such as jars simply because its lids can function better ants have an attraction to the borax or sugar, these ants will bring it back to the anthill and after a couple of weeks, the borax or sugar will get rid of the anthill. One more example of natural solution is using cream of wheat or grits. Sprinkle the cream of wheat or grits on the anthill. The ants in there will take in the grits and those grits will explore inside their bodies after expanding. This process is popular to kill ants in only one day or two.
Another deterrent which is still natural for the ant invasion is planting a mint, but keep in mind that mint is a very persistent plant and may invade your garden more you wanted it to be. In the event you prove that mint have become aggressive, make a strong mint tea to produce a natural insecticide and put in all around the mound. However, if you still cannot deal with an ant invasion with the natural remedies, the option of chemical can be an answer to your trouble.
Please remember ants are strong creatures and taking them away from your yard is proven to be hard. It will be important to have multiple attempts before having complete removal of ants from your place. Should you still cannot be successful by all your means, it is best to call a professional pest management for the remedial option.
Organic pest control?
I am moving into a new apartment complex in the country that doesn’t offer extermination, which I’m actually glad about because I don’t like being exposed to those chemicals on a weekly basis (mainly because I’m pregnant). I would like to start my own preventative organic pest control plan but don’t know where to begin. There aren’t any companies in the area that can do this. What do I need to do and how often? In this area, I’m mainly going to be concerned about roaches and ants, and also ticks and fleas (because it’s the woods and I have dogs, who are on Frontline but the bugs can still get on their fur.)
Thanks!
Keep borax handy to fight any fleas that might make their way into your carpeting. Sprinkle the borax onto the carpet and work it in. Leave it there for 24 hours then vacuum and throw out the vacuum bag.
I buy the Bioganic brand of organic pest powder and spray. The powder is awesome! It’s made from cloves and I use it in my pantry. It’s even food safe!
They also make an insect spray that should control any stray roaches and ants. It takes a little longer to kill the critters than chemical spray but it does work. I buy it at Lowes.
I haven’t tried this brand, but it might work for you.
