What’s the organic part of an organic light-emitting diode (OLED)?
Quick question, I know many displays and screens are developped nowadays using OLED technology, having investigated a bit I realized that I can’t figure out anywhere what exactly is the ‘organic’ part of an OLED display, what animal or plant is used to extract this organic tissue?

It’s organic i.e. carbon based chemistry as opposed to inorganic which is non-carbon based chemistry not organic as in plant life. See http://www.bgsu.edu/departments/chem/faculty/pavel/oled.htm for how an OLED is constructed.
