Egg hunt is a popular game that may be played during this occasion. Perhaps it is an important game without which the event is left incomplete. Egg hunt may be organized indoor as well as outdoor. It may be arranged in a small backyard or in a huge place like zoo. In countries like USA egg hunts are organized in zoos. Children participate in the hunt and collect as many eggs as they want. Sometimes the eggs are exchanged for special prizes. The difficulty level of the game depends on the age of the participating individuals. In many places the game is also arranged for adult with the difficulty level being on the higher side. In many European countries also the game is organized in huge playground along with other interesting activities. In USA White House organizes egg hunt events during the Easter celebration. It had started from the year 1878 and is arranged in the South Lawn. Families visit the place and spend the whole day in fun and frolic. Storytelling and other activities are also present in the event. Children of 12 years or below may participate in the events along with their families.

In France it is believed that these eggs are brought by flying bells. The flying bells are said to fly to Vatican City carrying with them the sorrows of the people who mourns the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The bells then return on the morning of Easter Sunday. They bring with them these eggs and other gifts. Parents keep the decorated eggs stuffed with candies in the rooms of their kids. The kids later in the morning search for these eggs. Sometimes the eggs are also hidden in the garden. The venue for this event may also be decorated in a very lively way. One may keep cutouts of Easter bunny or may even make an Easter tree. Place some decorated eggs of the tree and along with it use bright colored flower to brighten up the venue.

Egg decoration may also be an interesting game that you may organize. This may be organized inside the house and requires some hard boiled eggs, colors and designing items. Another interesting game is Easter bingo. One needs to prepare some bingo cards in order to play the game. Divide the cards into 3×3 grids and places pictures or Easter letter on them. Then one person would call the items and those who have them in their cards will mark it. The player who is the first to mark all the items on the card wins the game.

Egg rolling is another popular game in many countries. The eggs, in this game are rolled down a gentle slope. The one which reaches the end of the slope first without breaking is the winning egg.

You may also arrange egg toss but it is ideal to arrange it outdoor. The eggs used are normally not hard boiled. The game may be place by an individual or by6 a team of two. In case of group competition both the players from the team stand facing each other. They maintain a certain distance between them. The one player throws the egg while the other catches. You may also arrange for Easter bowling. This is one of the ideal Easter Games that may be played outdoor or even indoor, if possible. The things you need are few colored eggs, a white egg and a flat surface may be the floor of the room. You may also ask the kids to bring their own egg if it is organized in a neighborhood playground. Place the white egg on the floor and ask the participants to roll their colored eggs and get it as close as possible to the white one. The participant who gets it closet is the winner.

You must make sure that at the end of any game the participant are given gifts. These gifts may be eggs stuffed with candies or even an Easter basket. The occasion is special and so are the games. They are not only played for fun but also carry much relevance to mark the occasion.

Easter Basket Ideas for a 1 1/2 year old boy?

I need some ideas for an easter basket for my son.

Since its the begging of spring we do the out side toys. This year our one year old will be getting a big tonka truck, chalk (We give each kid a different kind of chalk, he will be getting some with a chalk holder to make it easier on his hands) Bubbles (They make cute bubble blowers that just blow bubbles) and some new sandals. We put socks in the plastic easter eggs (Once they get older they love finding them! my two year old remembers from last year!) As far as candy for little ones go most of it is stuff I can eat lol…. and we do sugar free chocolate for our youngest, but we also let them splurge on the candy and chocolate for the week and toss it anything left away (Same with halloween candy) Safety pops are good and the right size for them. But you don’t really have to put in candy. How about animal crackers or even a box of jello and an egg cookie cutter, so you guys can make jiggers. Or maybe you could make cookies! Happy PreEaaster!
