What is organic fruit and vegetables?
What is organic fruit and vegetables and fair trade fruit and vegetables?
Fruit and vegetables grown without the use of chemicals. IE chemical pesticides or fertiliser. Organic produce is likely to be smaller than it’s counterpart because of pests (eating the roots/leaves etc) and more expensive. Fair Trade. works like a Cooperative, it is supposed to be organic but I am not so sure, also more of the price paid by the consumer is supposed to go to the producer (the farmer) , and not to “Middle men” thus helping more farmers in places like South America and Africa to improve their living standard by Having “Fair Trade” and this is now a trademark in itself.
