Student Organizations Coming to the Objective of No Smoking!

STAND is a student organization working big time towards the objective of quit smoking. STAND stands for Students taking Action against Nicotine Dependence. This organization is basically working towards the objective of no smoking, not by preaching the ill effects of smoking but by actually helping out the people to give up the vice. The organization is also helping out the youth and keeping them from falling in the grip of smoking addiction.

One very important step that this organization is taking towards anti smoking is that it is arranging for courses and programs that would help people and encourage them to take to the way of quit smoking. These programs are not just for namesake but the organization is trying to implement the programs in such a way that it can receive atleast some kind of success in the form of people giving up on the smoke.

There are other organizations in the likes of STAND all over the world working towards the goal of quit smoking. The saddest part and the irony however, is that it is the students who are working for no smoking and it is the students only who are rapidly and in large numbers getting trapped in the circle of the smoke. Smoking being a comparatively cheap addiction the students can afford to get a fag if they want and sometimes also out of curiosity. So the situation has become quite tense because with the growing number of efforts towards no smoking the number of smokers is also increasing.
