The Eco Friendly Tote Bag Is A Great Business Solution For Grocery Stores
Everywhere we look we’re seeing increasing environmental concerns over global warming and carbon monoxide emissions. These are not just empty scare-tactics by environmental groups and organizations – these are real threats we are all influenced by one way or another.
And we can all contribute to making the world a better place – one small step at the time.
Leading Grocery Store Chains, Local Stores and Customers are realizing that Tote Bags are the best thing that has happened to grocery shopping. And they have identified an opportunity to use it for their profit.
Many Grocery Stores are now stocking up on large quantities of Eco Friendly Totes that are available from Promotional Product companies and selling them in their stores at a competitive price. And customers are loving these new custom designs Tote Bags that come in different colors.
“We encourage all of our customers to buy a price competitive eco-friendly Tote Bag from us. That way they can use it every time when they grocery shop and save the use of plastic bags in the process”, says David Halls, Grocery Store Owner in East Ham, London.
And there is of course a great financial benefit to this, in case you didn’t notice. For every Tote Bag is sold, David Halls make 20 pence bottom-line profit (about 35 cents). But he also saves money because the customers using their own Totes, don’t require plastic bags. David Halls is already ordering less plastic bags and is restocking his supply of Customized Eco Friendly Totes to keep up with demand.
“The Tote Bag business has been a great thing for us, our customers and the environment. We’re glad we can be part of helping make this planet a better place”.
David Halls encourages other grocery store owners to start pushing their customers towards Tote Bags and away from Plastic Bags. And he is considering taking a next step putting a point system in place for customers using his Eco Friendly Tote Bags. When customers reach a certain level of points collection, they could for instance get a discount coupon towards environmental products. This would help drive use of Tote Bags, he feels.
According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, each ton of recycled plastic bags saves the energy equivalent of 11 barrels of oil, although most bags are produced from natural gas derived stock. If we can move away completely or partly from Plastic Bags, the effect on natural resource use will be significant.
As a store owner, David Halls feels he has a responsibility that he shares with grocery store owners around the world: To contribute to a better environment by minimizing the use of plastic bags and going towards Eco Friendly, Reusable Totes.
