Uganda water adventures

Kayaking trips; The Mighty River Nile offers a thrilling kayaking experience to those interested in taking trips along the world’s longest river. Take an exhilarating kayak trip on the mighty Nile waters through the different rapids and falls that dot the Nile River. This can take from half day or one to ten days for beginners as well as experienced kayakers. 

White water rafting; Are you hungry for water adventure?  This is an exciting recreational activity that is organized for a wide range of water rafting trips on the Nile through various grades of rafting down stream the mighty River Nile.

There is more time between the rough water, but the rapids on the River Nile become larger, more spectacular, and engaging! A real life time adventure on the river Nile! In Overtime rapid; when the Nilometre is reading above 10 cubits, The Adrift rafts leap over a 4.5 metre waterfall, race downstream to the ever surprising Retrospect then teeter hesitantly at The Bad Place, to Bubogo, then to the famous Itanda-all Grade-three rapids. At Itanda, the young Nile gathers far too much power for the rafts and the rafters are forced to portage around the top of the rapid on land and then contemplate the huge hole at the bottom.

There is also Bujagali, Vengeance and condolence rapids all of which are Grade-five. The hardest of all is the Death rapid which is Grade-six. No one has ever accomplished this and it is as scary as its name. Rafters are not allowed to go through this because no one can survive by trying to go over it.

Bungee jumping; Feel above the world by leaping metres high above the source of the Nile. It feels like flying from a plane yet it isn’t; it is just having great fun in a life time!

River Nile rafting begins slowly and the first few kilometres offer the raft guides a chance to brief their crews fully on all aspects of Nile rafting. The young river dances into action at Bujagali Falls as if anxious to race to the thirsty deserts downstream and one major rapid follows swiftly after another for most of the morning. By the time the rafts drift toward Wakisi Island, a wholesome and inviting lunch is waiting eager consumers. There is nothing quite like a morning surfing on the River Nile for whetting one’s appetite. Enjoy sandwiches, tea, and fruits and vegetables like; Succulent pineapples, giant avocadoes, crisp bell peppers and tasty carrots that are all organically grown in nearby villages. Fresh bread, roasted ham, salami and juicy tomatoes all combine wonderfully well to satisfy even the most gargantuan appetite from a morning of fresh air, wild water river Nile surfing, and caressing sunshine. All these make Uganda adventures on the Nile the best.

Uganda safaris are also made unique by the launch cruises in either Murchison falls National Park or Queen Elizabeth National Park. In Murchison falls National Park, the country’s largest Park, tourists are treated with a lot of water activities and beautiful water sceneries. For example, visiting the top of the falls for magnificent scenery and breathtaking sight of the majestic Nile River as it forces its way through a rocky gap where millions of gallons of water squeeze through a narrow gorge seven metres wide, before plunging 43 metres below in a thunderous sound forming a placid river. The Launch cruise on the Nile in Murchison falls takes you to the bottom of the thundering falls where you expect to see huge Nile crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds like herons, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, kingfishers, skimmers, fish eagle and the rare shoebill.

In Queen Elizabeth National Park, the unique two-hour Launch cruise takes place along the Kazinga Channel that joins Lakes Edward and George. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos, Buffalos, Elephants and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This boat cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful with over 550 resident species.

Boat trips and local canoe rides are normally enjoyed along Lakes Victoria, Bunyonyi and Mburo. The boat trips are normally good for scenic viewing, sport fishing, bird watching and mind refreshment.

Uganda is also a must visit spot for dedicated swimmers. Swimming enthusiasts do enjoy open water swimming holidays for fun, freedom and for a great feeling of achievement. All locations have been chosen for their excellent water quality. Uganda swimming holidays are suitable for most standards of swimmers, so why not experience something different and exciting? These swims are all special and unique, a must for any open water enthusiast. 

Sport fishing is done in almost on all the water bodies in Uganda but the most popular ones are Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest fresh water body and the world’s second largest, the mighty River Nile, Lake Mburo, Murchison Falls National Park, among others. Tips and tricks on how I can lose weight?

I’m 14, 105 pounds, 5’5″ and I feel (and look) like a hippo. I workout by riding horses 2 hours a day 7 days a week. i go to gymnastics for two hours once a week and I do about 45 minutes doing conditioning every morning (like push ups, sit ups, weights ect.), I jump on the trampoline for 20-30 minutes everyday and I live on a farm so I do lots of work outside like lifting hay bales fixing stuff ect. I eat really healthy, nothing but organic and most of it is stuff we can grow in the garden. I eat less than 1000 calories a day and eat less than 45 grams of fat a day. I don’t drink pop, only water and fresh apple and orange juice but I’m still overweight, any tips would be really appriciated!

not mind that you are hungry. live with hunger; so that you can be thin.

you want to lose weight . don’t eat so much. yes you will be hungry. so what. get used to it. other wise continued to eat and enjoy yourself as a fatty
