Where can I get a hot dog that is actually good for me but does in fact contain beef?
I’m talking organic or Angus, or both, I’m also talking whole wheat hot dog buns, and stone ground mustard making this hot dog totally nutritious and not full of fat and sodium.
Prepared meats like hot dogs are ways of using up scraps they can’t sell.
Beef on the label just means that the scraps came from a cow/steer.
All of these prepared meats are high in sodium, nitrates, & preservatives.
These are not health foods; nutritious is the wrong term to apply.
They contain fat, protein, & probably grain as a filler; 3 food groups.
Your best bet is a kosher hot-dog like Nathan’s, but it’s still scraps.
