Collagen Repair: How to Naturally Produce Collagen For Firmer, Younger Looking And Radiant Skin
For years scientists have known how important collagen is to the re-growth and rejuvenation of the skin. More than just a way to enhance beauty and keep skin from wrinkling, collagen repair is necessary in treating severe burns and other skin disorders.
The problem is that the molecules that make up this important protein are too big to be absorbed into the skin. This can leave the scientific community in a quandary as to how to help the body naturally produce this valuable protein on its own, rather than rely on any outside source to supply it.
We do know that it is made up of amino acids and proline. We also know that it is basically the “glue” that holds our tissues and organs together throughout the entire body (not just the skin).
Without enough of it in our system we would have bigger problems than wrinkled skin: our skin could literally begin to fall apart.
Since we can’t artificially add collagen to our bodies, we need to find ways to naturally produce it ourselves. This begins with a well balanced diet chockfull of amino acids.
Without amino acids like L-glutamate, our body is unable to produce the glycine needed to make it.
So what kinds of foods should we be eating to ensure proper amino acid intake? Here are just a few:
· eggs
· lean meats
· nuts and seeds
· fruits
· vegetables
· soy
· citrus (vitamin C)
Of course, not everyone gets the right amount of protein-rich amino acids in their diet, so they may need a little help with supplements or collagen repair type creams and lotions that contain them.
Keratin proteins have been found to contain just the right amount of amino acids to encourage skin cell growth as well as boost collagen levels naturally. Skin care products containing functional keratin and Xtend TK are excellent sources of products that will naturally produce collagen.
Able to be absorbed into the deepest layers of the dermis, keratin proteins actually assist the body in this all-important function, rather than try to add it to the skin.
Phytessence Wakame Kelp from the Sea of Japan is another good source of collagen repair, since it helps the body retain Hyaluronic acid, an amino acid, glucose complex, that works to keep moisture in the skin; a building block of protein production.
By combining good eating habits filled with important Amino Acids and skin care products made with all natural keratin and Wakame, you have a better chance at collagen repair and are better able to naturally produce it.
