organic krill oil

Krill oil, organic metal?

I bought Krill oil for my parents, thinking its better than fish oil
However, i found out that its content of copper and arsenic are ~7 and ~3 respectively
the sales told me that these are organic metals occur naturally in Krill
so consuming it is OK
besides there are no government regulation on this
Can some one help
Is it really ok?

First a disclaimer: I have been making and selling my own fish oil product for over 10 years now. As for the krill-You are lucky. Your batch tested out lower in arsenic than the ones we tested. I got 10 ppm which is higher than max allowed in drinking waste by at least 5x. We also found a lot of furans, dioxins and other pollutants in the krill samples we tested. Bottom line the ocean is not clean and neither is krill. You would expect similar results from non distilled fish oil since it is processed the same way. If you want a higher grade go for the Pharmaceutical grade and make sure you have access to the independent testing.
IN my opinion your should always opt for the cleanest product you can get for yourself and the ones you love. BTW the krill we tested was from a “reputable” source- a very busy website whose proponent routinely bad mouths fish oil and states how superior krill is. Here is a link to our analysis.
