The move towards using organic products in every part of our lives increases daily. From the food we eat, to the cloths we wear and the bedding we sleep on, the organic lifestyle is more important every day. We sleep one third of our lives and what we sleep on is as important as what we wear.
Organic bedding is becoming more popular because of our awareness of the impact of chemicals on our body. Sleeping is one of the most important activities we do. It is an activity because we go through different stages of sleep from light sleep to rem sleep where we go into a deeper sleep and dream. The quality of our sleep affects our mental and physical well being. For many people it makes sense to create a chemical free environment for our bodies while our refurbishment from sleep recharges our body.
Natural Latex is seen as one option in creating an organic sleep environment. Natural latex is a 100% environmentally sustainable, earth-friendly, and is made from 100% certified organic materials.
Latex originally came from rubber trees that grow in Southern Asia. It is the oil from the trees that is harvested and then made into the product that we use for bedding, manufacturing and packaging.The oil extraction leaves the tree and sap unharmed in their environment. This form of latex contains nothing artificial. It is antimicrobial, dust mite free and resists mold and mildew. Therefore it is good for people who have allergies and asthma related to dust. It is free of allergens and chemicals.
After World War II the DuPont Company developed synthetic latex that performs as well as natural latex, but it does have chemicals and cannot be considered organic. It has many benefits because it is easily purchased in the United States and it is more cost affective.
There are several differences between natural latex and synthetic latex. One of the differences is that latex from the trees is not uniform in color or firmness. It is also expensive to import because of the distance in shipping. It is also very dense and heavy

Organic latex beds are often wrapped with 100% wool and then finished with 100% cotton to finish the bed as a completely organic product. While a perfect environment for most people, there are some that will not find the combination a perfect solution for their body.
What’s the best organic mattress for a hot sleeper?
I get pretty hot when I sleep and with some of the organic mattresses I’ve seen they have wool on the top layer. Would this help me out? Also would the natural latex be helpful with heat?
