NEED ADVICE: To spray paint or not?

So, I fell head over heels for two chandeliers on overstock! I have a very open floorplan – so I wanted the larger one for my dining room and the smaller one for my breakfast nook. I have one problem – my hardware and all other light fixtures are brushed nickel (and I would prefer to install a brushed nickel lights in those areas). The lights are very ‘organic’ looking, and I wonder if spray painting them brushed nickel would ruin the design and effect?

I have spray painted numerous light fixtures. Before you buy them make sure that you would be able to either remove or mask any parts that should not be painted. They could look gorgeous if you do a good job. Tremclad is the best product I know of for this type of application. Hang them up outside somewhere so you can keep turning them around as you spray. Tremclad dries vey fast.
