undigested seeds in bird’s poop about six times but no more?

I started giving him a different brand of organic seeds which contained alfalfa, millet and oats Thursday of last week. Friday night and early Saturday he pooped, about six times, with a seed in it. It had not happened before. He has been doing his usual activities, singing, dancing, etc. I switched back to the regular food Saturday morning and haven’t seen any seeds in the poop. The poop is light green with the white tip and the bit of liquid. I called a vet and the person who answered told me that it might have been because the seeds were a different brand. Has this happen to your bird? Do you have any advice?

Undigested seeds or pellets in a bird’s poop can mean that is has some type of parasite or intestinal infection. I wouldn’t feed your bird the organic seeds again. The food may have caused the problem, but your bird could be ill. I recommend taking your bird to an avian vet for an exam. The avian vet can make a diagnosis and you’ll know for sure exactly why your bird had seeds in its poop.
