What milk should I give my 12 month old?
…when he turns 12 months. He’s 10 months now and he’ll be 12 months when the new baby comes. I’ll be breastfeeding the newborn and still my 12 month old occasionally. But for the most part I know he can switch over to whole milk but I don’t want to give him that just yet. I haven’t decided if I want to give him the next stage formula e.g. Nestle Good start 2 or organic milk. If I decide on the organic then that will be safe wouldn’t it as opposed to 2% milk or something like that?

I began using Nestle Good Start 2 after my daughter turned 12 months. My pediatrician told me to not to bother with this & instead give her whole milk & Enfamil Poly-Vi-Sol vitamins once a day. Obviously organic is best, but it costs nearly twice as much as regular milk. If it’s within your budget, you should go organic.

Organic milk DOES NOT contain less vitamins/minerals that non-organic milk. Organic simply means the cows were not given artficial hormones to increase lactation & were fed an all natural diet.
