The need for nursery marketing is increasing due to the competitions among garden centers to promote their nurseries and grow their business. You might have a properly maintained nursery with required room temperatures maintained according to the plants you grow. But, if your nursery is not advertised, and if your nursery doesn’t reach people, there is no use in performing gardening businesses. Marketing in general, means the way you advertise your product in a manner that, it carries the hearts of people to be driven in buying the product. Competitions are increasing in any business, and the way you owe a successful business also depends on the marketing methods. Holes in veg garden leaves with no visible pests?

I’m going to my favorite local nursery later with a leaf to see what they think, but maybe someone here will have ideas, too. There are holes in the leaves of my pole beans and red bell peppers. So far, nowhere else. I’ve seen slugs around the yard, but no trails or slugs in the vegetable garden. There aren’t holes in the lettuce, collards, tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, or any herbs. I doubt it’s anything to do with squirrels, rabbits, etc, as my dogs are let out at varied times and do a great job of keeping things like that out of the yard. The gardens are all raised beds. I think it’s some type of insect pest, but I haven’t seen any yet. And I was just pulling weeds yesterday! I would prefer organic solutions, but I’m trying to figure out what the problem is first! The holes are relatively large and jagged. And isolated to the beans and peppers, which are in separate beds (only one pepper plant has holes, though). Any ideas?

Odds are that gastropods — slugs and snails — are feeding on your veggies at night when you’re asleep. If you want proof, water your garden in the evening, then tiptoe back a few hours after dark with a flashlight. You’ll probably find snails sneaking out from under leaves. They’re only eating select leaves because they’re starting with their favorites.

To keep them away from your plants you can use copper tape or about six inches (width-wise) of flour sprinkled on the soil (replaced each time you water). Or have a snail hunt a few nights running and remove them by hand.
