Easy Oatmeal Facial Recipes
There are several homemade facial recipes to select from. Most of them are very easy to make and take only a few minutes to stir up. If you are attracted to homemade oatmeal facials, carry on reading to study some recipes which you can utilize!
For the first recipe, mix together a tablespoon of oatmeal powder, a single egg white, and a few drops of lemon oil. Most natural or homeopathic stores carry lemon oil or you can look for it in the organic section of your grocery store. Oatmeal powder can be made by grinding up the oatmeal you have on hand. Be sure not to use the instant cook kind, though. Because this mixture uses egg, be sure to mix the ingredients thoroughly and completely. Spread the mixture on to your face, taking care to avoid your eyes. Leave on your face until it is dry, about twenty minutes. Use a soft washcloth and water to remove the dried mask. Grind up some oatmeal in your blender or food processor. In a separate container, mix together a couple of tablespoons of honey with a quarter cup of plain yogurt or buttermilk. Add this “wet” mixture to your “dry mixture and mix together until you have made a paste. Apply the concoction all over your face with your fingers. Be mindful of steering clear of your eyes and the areas near them as this skin is pretty sensitive, even to unprocessed ingredients. Allow the paste to stay on your face for about fifteen minutes, until it starts to dry out. Put clean and warm water to use for washing the paste off your face. If you have any to spare, put it away in the fridge for tomorrow (however don’t save it for more than a day). This fusion is kind enough that you can utilize it on a daily basis if you so desire.
Lemon juice, oatmeal and tomatoes can make a fantastic scrub facial for your skin. Mix until blended into a coarse texture. Wash your face with a good cleanser and rinse it clean.
Once the cleanser is completely rinsed away, spread the facial mixture onto your face, taking care to avoid your eyes. You can also spread it on your neck if you like. let it sit for ten minutes and then wash it off with a wash cloth moistened with warm water and then splash your face with clean warm water and pat dry. There are many ways to use oatmeal to help improve the condition of your skin. Oatmeal is highly recommended by skin care specialists if you want to make your own facials. These facial recipes are just the beginning however, because there are thousands out there.
Tasty ways to consume raw eggs?
Does anyone have any good ideas of consuming raw eggs without having to swallow them whole (recipes even)? I was thinking about mixing 1 raw egg into my hot cereal (such as in oatmeal). Do you think this would be tasty, or at least edible (not too repulsive)?
Please do not tell me about the risks of contracting salmonella. I have already extensively researched this highly controversial topic and am unequivocally CONVINCED that raw eggs are safe to consume, as long as they are of high quality (meaning that they are fresh, organic, and cage-free).
canulk19: Actually, cooked eggs are not equally as nutritious as raw eggs. You may want to read this article to clear up this common minconception: http://www.regenerativenutrition.com/content.asp?id=268
Frozen Custard Ice Cream
6 eggs
2 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups whipping cream
1 tablespoon vanilla
Crushed ice
Rock salt
In medium saucepan, beat together eggs, milk, sugar, honey and salt. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick enough to coat a metal spoon with a thin film and reaches at least 160°F. Cool quickly by setting pan in ice or cold water and stirring for a few minutes. Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, at least 1 hour. When ready to freeze, pour chilled custard, whipping cream and vanilla into 1-gallon ice cream freezer can. Freeze according to manufacturer’s directions using 6 parts ice to 1 part rock salt.
