Therefore, this tip will tell you that with each layer, your medium then should be increased just a little bit. Another thing you need to keep in mind is how fast or slow the paints dry. If you can use paints that dry a lot quicker, you will find that you are better off.

The last tip we can give you is about how you let your paints dry. Just as there are rules to developing your pictures for those of you who have ever practiced photography, the dark is not the place for oil painting.
