i found a nice pinapple, perfectly ripe, and a whole bunch of organic cantalopes nothing wrong with them! i left behind lots of other perfectly good veggies, watermelons, tomatoes, bell peppers, they throw away so much food! i’ve also found lots of bread, barely expired cereal, you name it! if your grocery store has a dumpster you can save a LOT OF MONEY. and there’s nothing unsanitary because in seattle the fruit/veggies are all in the compost dumpster separated and the other stuff is packaged. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY
if the produce had ecoli it would be the packaged stuff not the fresh, and anyway that’s why you wash the stuff anyways, not an issue. they throw out the packaged stuff because it’s slightly old. people expect bread to be fresh daily so that’s why huge amounts get tossed daily, meanwhile people starve in the third world, it’s sick.
