Summertime Mineral Makeup
Mineral makeup is great all year round, but in the summer it’s especially handy. Every makeup wearing woman has noticed how makeup “melts” off in the heat due to perspiration. Most don’t know there’s something they can do about it. The following are tips to use for keeping your makeup looking great all summer long.
When you use mineral makeup, be sure to use a primer. Primer is simple. Just dab it on after moisturizing and use exactly like a moisturizer. Primer helps set the mineral foundation. Don’t go too heavy with your mineral foundation, as you will inevitably sweat in the heat and when too much foundation is used, it will streak.
It’s a good rule of thumb to go light by day and heavier by night. So, during the day use a summery shade of mineral lipstick or gloss. Mineral lipstick is nice in summer because it is very creamy, moisturizing and protects your lips from harmful UV rays.
For cheeks, a pink or peachy shade is best for summer. Too much glimmer or glitter during the day can make you break out and looks tacky, so keep it toned down enough to look natural. A healthy glow is best. To find where the blush should be applied, flip your head upside down for about thirty seconds. When you flip your head back up notice where your cheeks naturally flush. This is where your blush should be. Apply in small circles, concentrating on the apples of the cheeks.
Bronzer can be very tricky for daytime summer looks. Mineral makeup bronzer is a lot easier to use because the colors are more natural. It’s a good idea to load a soft blush brush with bronzer and tap off the excess. Begin on the forehead in the center next to the hairline and sweep the bronzer along the face in a big E. the middle of the E should be the cheekbone and the bottom of the E should be the jawline. If you go too heavy with the bronzer simply blend it with a little more mineral foundation.
For the eyes, don’t use more than three colors. Highlight the brown bone with a light color; usually white or ivory. A soft color on the eyelid will do nicely. A slightly darker shade can be used in the crease. Use the same color you used to highlight the brow bone on the inside corners of the eyes next to the bridge of the nose. This will make the eyes look more open and widely set. To finish off the eye shadow use a very fine brush and use the same highlight color so sweep under the lower lashes under the eyes. This will also help you look more away and wide eyed.
Apply mascara in two coats. The first coat should be very quick and should be allowed to dry before the second coat is applied. For the second coat begin at the base of the lashes and move the wand from side to side, then outward and up. This will give a more thorough coverage. After the mascara has dried apply your favorite eyeliner sparingly, or not at all. Too much eyeliner isn’t right for summer, so try to keep it simple.

I only use face powder for face makeup so how do i prevent it from coming off?
I am 15 years old and have acne prone skin,
i used to have very bad acne but after i got on the pill i have minimal acne (and its mostly on my for headd).
I only useface powderr on my skin cause my doctor told me to not wear as much makeup and the powder i use is organic and noncomogenic.
but the problem is that it comes off really easy and my nose gets shinny and red, and my for head gets shiny and my pimples are more noticable, and that about 2-3 hours in the day,
i recently just bought the new powder from benefit that covered up really good by kinda made me break out and it still came off.
any suggestions?
i am willing to try foundations or primers but it has to be for acne-prone skin and oil free, and preferably noncomogenic.
i am in desperate need of your help!
Try Physician’s Formula Mineral Wear foundation. I saw it one of PrincessPinkcat’s videos on YouTube and she said it was awesome so I bought it and I was not disappointed. It stayed on all day and I didn’t have to touch it up or reapply. Also, I noticed that it actually cleared up the mild acne on my chin and the blackheads around my nose.
