Top 4 Feeding Products For Kids
Baby food can be a real ordeal for parents. Babies are pretty effective food critics, and if they don’t like their food, they’ll be prepared to let you know, unambiguously. The best feeding products for babies are the ones they love, and don’t want to return to sender. There are some good, innovative products and baby food ideas on the market that can make mealtime a lot of fun for baby, and parents.
Baby food issues- Working on a good diet
Babies need a range of basic dietary content in a form that they can digest properly. These needs change progressively, another good reason to keep an eye on new baby foods, and there are some positive benefits for parents.
What baby doesn’t like may indicate other issues. Some minor allergies and irritants like food acids and some chemicals used in food processing can cause a negative reaction, and some informed experimentation with foods on the diet plan can be very informative.
A good diet has very basic criteria:
- Baby loves it.
- It’s in the dietary plan.
- There are no negative reactions.
Note: Allergies and other issues may be real issues. If in any doubt whatsoever, contact your family doctor, and discontinue using any foods you consider possible causes.
Home made solids
Home made solids are easy to make, they’re cheap, you know exactly what goes into them, and you can adjust quantities to reduce waste and preparation times. Some of these food preparations are very simple, and very nutritious.
- Mashed bananas are a great vitamin store, with plenty of electrolytes, fibre, and B vitamins, a reliable level of vegetable protein, and there’s nothing easier to prepare.
- Puree vegetables are easy to prepare, they produce a good broth, and they’re full of useful nutrients in an easy-to-digest form. These materials are easy for baby’s metabolism. They contain many minerals, vitamins, green vegetable chlorophyll, and other good things for baby.
Organic baby food
Organic baby food is a healthy mix of vegetable, grain and fruit elements, grown without pesticides, herbicides, and other possible irritants for baby. Like organiccloth nappies and all the other safe healthy products, organic baby food is a really good option. Most importantly, organic baby foods are planned in dietary stages.
A typical combination of organic foods includes a range of things like:
- Quinoa: (pronounced keen-wa) a grain like rice and barley with high dietary phosphorous content, prepared like porridge.
- Berries: Good all round food value.
- Carrots: Beta carotene, precursor of Vitamin A, an essential dietary requirement.
- Kumara (aka sweet potatoes) Excellent carbohydrates and trace elements.
- Sweet corn: High in good carbohydrates.
- Fruits: As well as Vitamin C, fruits contain a lot of pure water and fibre, with many trace vitamins and minerals.
Successes- A good review from baby
One of the great pleasures of life is when their appetites develop and they start to eat everything but the furniture. You will literally be able to see the benefits of the right foods, growing up and asking for more.
Wheat Alergies and Diet?
First of all, let me start by saying that I have not been diagnosed with a wheat allergy. I have been diagnosed with migraines however.
When I have cut out bannanas my migraine is greatly alleviated to the point I rarely have them.
I have noticed recently that when I eat pasties, cheap bread, baguettes etc that I start to yawn, my eyes water, I feel confused, sleepy and fatigued. Since cutting down on these wheat products I actualy feel a whole lot better.
My question is;- if I cut down on wheat, am i harming myself?I have tried the bread made from rice which is just as good although a different taste so am not cutting carbs out totally (I eatpotatoes, quinoa, brown rice etc) but is it safe for me to cut out wheat? Am I being hyponcdriacal? I have definitley noticed, hand on heart, that when I eat cheap breads and pasties and pastry that the aformentioned symptoms come on.
Since realising this and eating more organic foods and foods without wheat have felt much better?
you can never harm yourself by cutting down or out the wheat- first most wheat products are not properly prepared and our bodies cannot break them down and digest them properly.
Second, if you have been tested for a wheat allergy and tested negative this does not mean you are not allergic or possibly intolerant to wheat and gluten. I know many who tested negative to having a wheat allergy only to find out later they were gluten intolerant (a different reaction but can be more damaging- but too often not tested for) or even had Celiac disease.
At the ery least, try eting only sprouted grain or properly prepared sourdough breads (just because it says sourdough does not mean it is properly prepared) our bodies are better able to break down and digest the grains this way. I would recommend intolerance or celiac testing (the BEST, most comprehensive and accurate test is through enterolab- www.enterolab.com) or trying to stay off of gluten entirely for a while and see what happens.
There are many wonderful grains and flours out there that can be used in place of glutenous flours with wonderful results. Try getting some ofthe gluten free gourmet books from your local library or feel free to email me for some recipes.
