What Organic Face Cream Means for the Face Cream Industry
There have been increasing amounts of discussion surrounding the use of organic face cream, and how they relate to the myriad synthetic products on the market. One difficulty with monitoring the differences between types of skin creams is that the ingredients, and the function of the active agents, differ, sometimes radically, among product brands. So monitoring the function of these products, based off of organic or inorganic ingredients, tends to be a case-by-case basis.
In the case of antioxidant face cream organic products versus synthetic petroleum-based products, a number of factors must be weighed: First, how do they address the effects of the oxidization process in the body? How are free radicals managed, and how is a healthy balance maintained? These products look at both remedying the damage done through oxidation, and erecting a defense against further oxidative damage, and further production of free radicals within the functioning body.
Until recently it had been assumed that the proper treatment of these physical issues was beyond the scope of a organic face cream. Oxidation, and its effects on the body, were often attended to by products that used complex chemical formulas to provoke an anti-oxidation effect, working from the philosophy that the solution to the problem of the presence of free radicals was worth the taking in of any number of synthetic active agents.
