Gene-Eden For-Safer-Sex: A New Dietary Supplement Protects Against STDs
Sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s) are a major human health issue. There are many STD’s, including HIV/AIDS, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis, Herpes, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), and Syphilis. Is organic chicken safer/healthier and worth the extra cost?
Unless you raise your own chickens and control the feed and water sources how do you know it is truly organic. I understand how the farms are controlled and regulated because my family raises organic feed but…
The problem I see is that they regulate your farm but not the areas around you. So if a neighbor of the chicken farm uses pesticides on his fields the run off water gets in the ground water and then when the chicken farm waters the poultry they unknowingly pass the chemicals along. Even though it is not intentional the meat still has minute amounts of contaminates.
The only thing you can be sure of is that you are paying for meat that has not been medicated directly. But did you know that even regular or “non” organic meats have regulations on what meds you can give the animal before slaughter? All medications, antibiotics, even aspirin has a with-drawl time, or an amount of time you have to wait after you give the medication before the animal is allowed to be killed. This wait time allows the chemicals to clean out of the animals system before slaughter. So there is little difference in the meat you buy.
Its not worth the cost to me, but if it eases your mind then go for it. Because it costs more to raise the animals you pay more for the meat. It is a personal choice.
