Organic Shampoo Base

Is the shampoo we are using daily safe?

Health is more important than the money we have and it is the biggest wealth that God grants us. So, to keep healthy means a lot to us: it means the love, courage, hope and so on. Because health is the base of kinds of feelings, millions of chances and variety of possibilities, etc. Then do you know scalp is the sensitive part of human body? It absorbs harmful elements more easily, of course, choosing safe shampoo appears very important to us.

However, the shampoo we used in daily life may contain harmful chemicals which will make a bad effect to the scalp. Here I introduce four major harmful chemicals in the traditional shampoo. The first one is sodium lauryl sulfate which is used as a cleanser in most of traditional hair care products world widely. The sodium lauryl sulfate is used to form the lather to remove grime and dirt of our hair. The second one is sodium laureth sulfate. Actually, sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate can be considered as two main ingredients in most of shampoo. The third one and the forth one are cocoamide diethanolamine and laureth sulfate. Among them, sodium lauryl and sodium laureth can cause cancer, which, however, are considered as the safe ingredients and are used in the process of shampoo production by the cosmetic manufacturers. Both cocoamide diethanolamine and ammonium laureth sulfate make up the major parts of all traditional hair care cleansers, which are also harmful.

Therefore, we should avoid those hair care products containing chemicals in order to keep healthy. To use the shampoo which is organic is a better way to protect the scalp, but does the organic shampoo really exist? The answer is far from clear at present. Some experts say it is impossible for the existence of organic shampoo in the market. The reason is that the shampoos in the market, which are said to be organic and “derived from coconut”, just contain the sodium laureth sulfate which has coconut compounds instead of real organic ingredients. At the same time, many “organic shampoos” also have the usual chemicals as in the traditional shampoos or even contain the same ingredients that are in the other shampoos.

To protect our scalp, we should take action to find green shampoo products and to avoid those cancer-causing chemicals. The bright future and the beautiful life are all based on health, we should make all dreams come true step by step and health is definitely the first step for us now! To use real organic shampoo and to keep our scalp healthy!

Why is my dig always do itchy!!? She doesn’t have fleas…?

She is a shih tsu/lhasa mix. I feed her wheat free/grain free fish based food. I use diatomaceous earth food grade supplement for flea treatment, which is organic, rather than the chemical/poisonous advantage, etc. I use hypoallergenic shampoo! What else can I possibly do?

I’ll take all suggestions. :) thanks!

The dog could have some kind of skin infection or allergic reaction. A trip to the vet to determine this would probably be your best bet.

Our dog has skin allergies. If it isn’t food, fleas, mites, or an infection or allergic reaction your dog may have skin allergies too.

You should probably have a blood test to determine this. If it gets bad enough, they will lose their hair and could develop a skin infection from itching, biting, and licking. Another thing to look out for is if it’s prevalent at only certain times throughout the year. If it is seasonal, they can treat it seasonally with antihistamines.

Good luck!

P.S. For the Benedryl answer above, Benedryl does not work on all dogs. In fact, it’s a small percentage. Just a note.
