Organic Shampoo – How to Buy a Good Organic Shampoo
Shampoos are simply improved soaps. They are used to clean up both natural and artificial surfaces. They are therefore expected to bind dirt and help in their removal from a surface. This process of binding can turn to be destructive depending on the nature of the shampoo. There are two types of shampoos, the organic shampoo and the artificial type of shampoo. The artificial shampoos are often made as byproducts of oil production. Organic shampoos are made of natural products that are able to decompose if left out to the agents of weather. They can also be prepared at home and therefore cheaper. Hair shampoos made of organic products would for example include avocados and egg protein which are readily available in most homes.
The difference in function between the organic and non-organic or artificial shampoos is in the way the molecules interact with the surface being cleaned. For every molecules interacting, they either attract or repel each other. The organic shampoos will be attracted to the water molecules and therefore they are likely to be washed away with the dirt that has attached to them.
When buying shampoo made of organic products, it is important to consider several issues so as not to be disappointed.
Check the composition: through most organic shampoos would function in same manner, there are those that have additives to enable them perform specific functions. For example, shampoos made for sanitary purposes or car cleaning would have a little higher content of caustic soda or have more abrasives.
Check the expiry dates: even though the authorities in public health and consumer protection have this role to play, the good shampoo you purchase may be used for several months and therefore it is important to check the product has long shelve life.
Compare prices: More often than note, shoppers lose lots of money because they did not compare prices. However, in such products, it is not the cheapest that is always a win for the buyer. What counts is that the price matches the quality.
Read instructions: while organic shampoos have lots of benefits, some people have posted very negative comments based on their experienced. While any product in the market should have sufficient safeguards, some of these precautions are provided in the instruction manual. You need to read such manuals so as not to regret a purchase of the shampoo which may otherwise be very fine.
No flea products are working!?
I would love some ideas if anyone knows of anything that will help me… here’s my situation. I have 6 chihuahuas, and I have been battling fleas for about 6 months and going crazy trying to get rid of them. So far I have tried:
Spraying yard with flea killer that attaches to hose
Flea powder/vacuum carpets
Insect killer sprayed around base of walls of house and outside house
Spray dog beds with flea spray, wash/throw away bedding and keep buying new ones
Biospot and Advantage topical spot-on
Knockout topical flea spray
Hartz and other cheap brand topical flea spray
Pyrethrin flea dip
2 cheap brand flea shampoos
Natural organic anti-flea shampoo (natural plant oils)
I am going insane and running out of ideas. Nothing seems to work. Sometimes the fleas will all be gone after a treatment only to be back after a few days.
Any ideas? =(
i had the same problem awhile back.. was sooo frustrating… what i did was give the dogs a flea bath and sent them to my moms..
then i bought flea bombs,, and set them off in every room of the house.. then i bombed the house again totally 3 days later.. ( flea bombs are inexpensive aersol cans..
i returned 2 hours later and vacuumed the house thoroughly
i then applied Frontline Plus on each dog as directed.. and all was good for about month… then reapplied frontline and i seem to have the situattion under control ( it has been a very bad year for fleas i have heard)_
PLEASE stop using the HartZ stuff…
