Who would be the right EMR Vendor for your organization?

The most important attribute that an EMR vendor should possess and project is that of providing an unbiased source of information. It is advisable to identify and list down the functions that you would expect from EMR depending on your practice requirements. Based on this, few numbers of vendors could be shortlisted for the demo.

Taking guidance from any qualified consultants also helps you to have a broad understanding about the industry. These consultants are knowledgeable and familiar about various EMR vendors and are able to provide credible and unbiased information on the same. One needs to clarify aspects like pricing per physician license, client referrals, post sales support, client /server based and web based distinctions, details of EMR configuration, any negotiations etc.

The focus of the buyer should also be on asking more of open ended questions in order to get detailed information about their system and their process of implementation. This would avoid getting objective answers and have a clearer picture about the whole process. Accordingly, the buyer can consider and decide upon the vendor that meets the practice’s requirements without having to compromise on the needs and desires. Overall, asking the right questions would ensure the most appropriate vendor to be selected.

Key points include how the Electronic Medical Record EMR software enables its users to create and complete the healthcare tasks, how to find the required information, medical lab reports, how to deal with the health maintenance and objects to create a patient note. You surely would know the organization that focuses on improving health outcomes is the one to look out for.

Need to document EMR requirements like conduct hardware requirement analysis, choose between a client-server based model and a web based model, check the affordable cost that could be invested in such an implementation, certify its CCHIT, HIPAA and HL7 compliance, validate the vendor’s clients list and check the featured modules that your practice would require.

Although many companies are now involved in developing software products, services and solutions for healthcare information technology, Binary Spectrum is a name that stands out for the high quality of its products.

click on me!! Best chemistry question?

An organic chemist managed to extract an active component from the oil of wintergreen. Elemental analysis of the unknown compound shows that it contains 70.6 % of carbon, 5.9 % of hydrogen and 23.5% of oxygen by mass. The mass spectrum of the unknown (can provide real spectrum if possible) indicates that the relative molecular mass of the compound is 136. How do you think you can help him determine the relative empirical and the molecular formula of the unknown compound?

What do we mean by relative empirical and the molecular formula of a compound?

How do we determine the relative empirical formula and subsequently the relative molecular formula using relative empirical formula and the relative molecular mass?

The previous two answers look right to me. I’ll take you a little further.

You can use the Formula Index in the back of the Merck Manual to quickly look up possible compounds with that empirical formula.

p-anisadehyde
benzy formate
methyl benzoate
phenyl acetate
phenylacetic acid
Toluic acid

The problem to me seems that the common compound that is typically extracted from Wintergreen is salicylic acid (a precursor for aspirin). So I’d have some doubts about the data as presented – it doesn’t seem to make sense with real world experimental information

That said perhaps the extraction method targets esters and excludes organic acids. In that case it narrows the potential suspects to the 3 compounds with “ate” on the end of their name.

I guarantee you it is not p-anisaldehyde. Anis is a very distinct odor (even I can smell it with a chemically-fried sense of smell. Anisaldehyde isn’t in Wintergreen, I’ve smeel that for myself.

Manila Coco’s VCO contains the optimum amount of beneficial fatty acids, largely medium chain fatty acids (with 55% lauric acid) and tocopherols, which cause resistance to pre-oxidation. It is distinct from partially hydrogenated vegetable fats (with artificially stabilized unsaturated fatty acids), and animal fats (lards/shortening), which are pre-dominated by long chain fatty acids. Artificially…

Interpretation of Mass Spectra

Interpretation of Mass Spectra

$47.92

Extensively revised and updated, this new edition, as in previous editions, emphasizes the point that the most important part of learning how to interpret unknown mass spectra is to practice interpreting mass spectra. The book aims at correlating ion dissociation mecanisms on a much broader scale, with the emphasis on basic attributes such as ionization energies, proton affinities and bond dissoci…
