How to Treat Recurring Yeast Infections: Few Tips to Help You Cure Your Chronic Candida Infection

There are various organisms that dwell on the body surface which can be classified into beneficial, opportunistic, and pathogenic organisms. The beneficial type helps the body get rid of those organisms which can cause illness. One the other hand, the opportunistic and pathogenic ones have the ability to cause infection with the former causing their harm in cases where the individual’s immune system is weakened and the latter, even when the immune system is in the best shape possible. Yeast infection or candidiasis is caused by the opportunistic kind. In instances wherein the number of beneficial organisms in the body decreases, yeast thrives resulting in infection.

The problem with candidiasis is that even with the help of antifungal medications, it has the tendency to recur after some time. Below are some tips on how to treat recurring yeast infections to help maximize the effects of antifungal medications:

1) Practice a healthy sexual life. If possible, you can abstain from sexual intercourse to prevent the transmission of the disease. If you cannot abstain from sexual endeavors, you can practice a monogamous relationship and ensure that you practice good hygiene after every contact.

2) Avoid douching. The application of douche can limit the number of beneficial organisms. This will, in turn, lead to an increase in the population of Candida species.

3) Supplement with vitamins and minerals. Candidiasis causes severe nutrient deficiency in affected individuals. Ensure that your body gets its dose of the nutrient it needs to keep itself healthy. Boosting the immune system though supplementation is an effective way on how to treat recurring yeast infections.

Organic Chemistry: Proteins of yeast, radioactivity in their cells? please?

Hi, sorry for bottering but i can’t really understand this problem, would you help me please?
a scientist is stuying the metabolism of proteins in yeast and wants to follow the formation of proteins form the earliest possible point. In her experiment, she will feed the yeast radioactive nutrients and follow the fate of the radioactivity in the cells. Which of the following atoms will allow her to exclusively follow proteins in cell?
(radioactive carbon), (radioactive nitrogen), (radioactive oxygen), (radioactive sulfur) ?
Thanks!

all of those could potentially end up in the protein

i’m not sure what you mean follow the formation of proteins from the earliest possible point
but being that methionine is the first amino acid in a protein and it contains sulfur, i would use the radioactive sulfur
