Dyeing hair red, how long will it last if I follow aftercare?

So I was planning on going to my salon and dyeing it red like Paramore, cherry red basically. I have a few questions..
I wash my hair every other day anyway, and I heard if you wash it in cold water if will preserve color. I do not use sulfates in my shampoo or conditioner or any harsh chemicals (all organic)
I have many organic shampoos and conditioners for color treated hair.
So I was planning on washing it every other day in cold water with color protectant shampoo and conditioner.
How long do you think the red will last before it gets a nasty orange color? I was thinking of getting it professionally dyed (it will have to be bleached a little since my hair is dyed dark auburn brown)
And then when it fades dye it with garnier intense red colors (I already use them but I don’t get the desired red since my hair is too dark)
How long would my red last and look good and would it work when it starts fading for me to use box color again?
It sounds like you’re taking very good care of your color-treated hair. Organic products are definately a plus!
Color-lasting all depends on what brand of box-color you use, if you want to do it yourself. I suggest that you get it done professionally, and you can usually ask your stylist how long the color will last and how to treat it. He or she will tell you all you need to know about taking care of and when to re-treat your dyed hair.
