Organic Garden Fertilizer – Importance
As we are becoming dependant on the improving technology, we are losing our contact with the natural things. Following the same trends with our farms and gardens, we are actually doing more harm than good to our crops and environment. The chemical pesticides and fertilizers that we have started using for our crops contain harmful toxins. This is the reason why many people are again switching over to the organic garden fertilizer, so that they save their plants along with their environment.
The organic way of gardening refers to the process of growing vegetables and fruits in a natural manner, without any use of any kind of chemical. Even if you do not have a very huge farm, it is essential to use only organic garden fertilizers to help grow your plants. This ensures the safety of the fruits and vegetables growing in your garden are safe. Sooner or later, you only are going to eat them you and that is why you should make sure that your grown plants do not have any toxins or harmful chemicals. This can only be achieved if you adhere to the techniques of the organic gardening.
Organic garden fertilizers also make your flowers more beautiful than ever. The concept behind this is very easy to understand. You reap what you sow, so whatever you put into the soil will be reflected in your crop only. If you are using organic garden fertilizers then you are helping your plants grow in a natural way and as these fertilizers do not have any harmful chemicals, they will not spoil the crop. According to the reports by the EPA, almost 70% of the water pollution is caused by the agricultural areas where chemical fertilizers are used. Thus, you can figure out how harmful they can be for your garden too.
Organic garden fertilizers use organic soil amendments to improve the nutrient content in the soil. They also help in improving the soil characteristics of any garden. You can add decomposing organic materials in a garden and it acts as a natural fertilizer. Irrespective of the type of soil you have in your garden, the organic fertilizers improve its nature. They are also helpful in holding much water in the soil, so as to provide better nourishment to the plants growing into that soil. Organic garden fertilizers are also rich in zinc and iron and they provide these micro-nutrients to all the plants grown in the organic garden.
The basic three nutrients that are needed by the plants to grow – phosphorous, potassium and nitrogen – are provided by organic garden fertilizers. You have to careful in choosing the right kind of fertilizer for your soil. Mixing a few of them together can, at times, fulfill the needs of your soil.
Summary: Organic garden fertilizers are better than the chemical fertilizers produced from toxic materials. Organic fertilizers are rich in essential nutrients and micro-nutrients that are beneficial for the plants. They also improve the nature of the soil, thereby making it more suitable for the growth of the plants. They are gentle on plants and environment.
What kind of plants should i put in my ball python’s terrarium?
I have a ball python, with and organic soil like substrate made out of shredded coconut husk. I have a few fake plants in the tank, but would like to have the realistic features of a jungle inside my 55 galon tank. What kind of plants should I put into my ball python’s tank? I do not want to put anymore fake plants in the cage, and am not sure if ball pythons have any allergies to certain plants. So what kind of plants should I put into the cage?
PS: As a teenager, I am not rich. I cannot afford to put in anymore fake plants, so please do not say anything about fake plants.
PPS:I do not have a climbing stick in the cage, because my Dad does not think one is neccessary, although i would like one. Should i get one?
I have raised many snakes and I do not suggest you use soil or sand in the cage. I know it makes for a boring looking cage. I have breed very high end snakes, worth thousands of dollars. The best thing you can do for your snake is raise him with a temp of 85 degrees at one end of the cage and use plain old news paper in his cage. Give him or her a hide box(helps the snake feel safe). Cage the news paper at least once a week. News paper actually helps prevent mites. I know this is not the answer you want as it makes for a not so cool looking cage, but it keeps the snake healthy. Caution…alot of ball pythons are wild caught and not bred in captivity, problems can be stress, worms and other parasites.
All of these things can kill your snake no matter what you do.
Ball pythons because of this (wild caught) can discourage people from raising snakes.Don`t give up ! buy your snakes from a reputable breeder. Most pet stores sell wild caught animals even if you ask if its captive bred they will lie.
OK,Good luck and take care of your python!!!
