Organic Coloring Shampoo
All of us want to look our best and this not only includes the way that we look on the outside, it may also include the way that we look on the inside. Although you may think that people are not really able to see what is on the inside, the simple fact is that if you feel good from the inside, it will show through on the outside as well.
One of the ways that we try to look our best is by coloring our hair. Through the use of a good organic coloring shampoo, we are able to change our appearance to a certain extent and to do so without harming our bodies. This helps us to not only look good on the outside, it helps us to feel healthy on the inside. The reason why you would want to use something organic is because much of the regular coloring shampoo that is on the market contains some chemicals that should never be used on the human body. Yes, it has been approved for use but a simple look at the ingredients will let you know that it is not a good idea.
It doesn’t matter if you are simply trying to color some of the gray out of your hair or if you are trying to change your overall look altogether by going with a totally different color, always make sure that you stay with something that is organic. There are several different organic shampoos that are available on the market but very few of them offer the option of coloring your hair. Typically, if you want to do something like this you’re going to have to make up some organic coloring shampoo at home. This can be a little bit hit and miss but if you have a basic recipe to go from at the start, it will not be very difficult for you to make it up regularly.
Unfortunately, if you do not have a commercial organic coloring shampoo and are trying to use something that is made at home, you’re going to have a difficult time realizing consistent results. The only way for you to get around this is to make up a large batch of it ahead of time and then freeze it in small portions so that you can thaw it and use it as necessary. It may take a little bit more work but it is a much better idea than using a commercial coloring shampoo.
How can I reduce my dandruff?
I don’t believe that what I have on my scalp is true dandruff but rather extremely dry, flaky skin. The very front and center is the driest area of my whole head, to my knowledge, but the problem persists pretty much everywhere. Recently, I found that my eyebrows were flaking around the base of the hairs.
I have tried a JASON shampoo and an organic tea tree oil conditioner. Both yielded marginal to no discernible results (and smelled absolutely repulsive). I fear that trying Head and Shoulders may be counterproductive, as I’ve read that cases of non-dandruff flake problems are exacerbated by the products’ chemicals.
Shaving my head bald is simply out of the question. I live in a college dormitory so the more involved processes are hard to do in a communal bathroom. I need custom tailored suggestions and opinions to tide me over until I get to my dermatologist. He may as well be the president because it’s about that hard to schedule an appointment.
Hayden, you moron, excessive bathing is what can put people in this situation. It’s scrubbing the scalp, over drying by chemicals (aka SHAMPOO), and other biological factors that contribute to the symptoms.
If you’ve tried tea tree oil and seem to acknowledge that your condition is not traditional dandruff, take the advice you get here with a grain of salt and speak with your dermatologist at least over the phone. I know of some remedies that involve baby oil and wraps but it seems like that would be a bit inconvenient in the dorms. I remember those days.
Something to consider: shower less frequently (yes, Hayden, less), be gentler when washing, and try to buy tester sized bottles of the previously mentioned shampoos. The last thing you want is five big bottles of useless shampoo taking up what precious space you have in your room.
Hayden: dandruff is a condition that is located at the base of the hair follicle. Flaky scalps (not true dandruff) are akin to a sunburn when it starts to peel or essentially sloughing off the top layer of (dead) skin every day.
