I left the meat sauce that I wanted to use for lasagna out all night (organic beef and turkey sausage)?

I cooked the meat sauce in a crockpot for a few hours. I turned it off and wanted to let it cool off a bit before putting it in the fridge. I went to bed soon after, and forgot. I woke up this morning and realized. I dont want to throw it away, since it took a long time to make. (plus a lot of $)
I want to use it for lasagna sauce. It is probably the best sauce I have ever made. I know it is common for everyone to say to throw it out,
but this sauce is valuable to me right now. I hope their might be a few people that can say it is totally fine to use it.

You killed the bacteria last night by cooking the meat. If you left the lid on the crockpot, and the sauce is a tomato sauce, doesn’t contain cream, you should be fine. Salt and acidity help to preserve cooked meat. Since the top is on, it acts like a jar.

Smell it. If its not foul, (and it won’t be…) heat a little portion, eat it and wait a 15 minutes. If you’re not sick by then, it’s safe to eat.

I’ve done this before. I didn’t get sick.
