Why aren’t there more business cooperatives in the USA? Is it because it’s an example of communism that works?
Basically, where all the employees, from the lowest worker down to the elected board manager, own part of the company? it’s a business model that WORKS (such as the Kibbutz in Israel, or co-op organic farms and grocers here in Hawaii) where everyone makes the same wage or at least, similar wage and everyone has a say in how business is run.
basically: laborers hire capital, not capital hiring laborers.
the biggest indicator? they TURN OUT A PROFIT!!! so why isn’t this business model of successful communism utilized more?

I don’t know. I’ve lived in cooperative houses where we own the house and shop at food cooperatives. Where I live, one of our taxi companies is a coop and they make tons of money.
