i am sitting here reading my benadryl container, and it says diphenhydramine HCl. does this mean that the amine is protonated and this compound is in salt form?
i have noticed that alot of medicine is labeled as in conjunction with hcl; is this done so that it is soluble in the body and can move within solution as opposed to be a solid where it would not be a soluble in cells and blood and thus less useful?
