In Yahoo news: Why no mention of certified organic fruits and vegitables in an effort to prevent cancer?

Although I applaud the message in this article on Yahoo http://health.yahoo.com/breast-cancer-awareness-2007/healthyapproach/499/4-foods-to-fight-breast-cancer I am dumbfounded why there’s no inclusion of the benefits of pesticide-free certified organic fruits, vegitables, and grains. How could they leave out what might be the cause of just as much breast cancer as a lack of fruits and vegitables?
Rainbow: Think! If you approach the article as a study of the media it belongs in Women’s Studies.
What’s this about the limits of science? Scientific studies matter more than the adage: Better to be safe than sorry?
Isn’t anyone thinking about the fact that certified organic foods have only been available widely for less than 20 years?

?
My best wishes to anyone undergoing treatment for cancer.

Coming out with an actual scientific study about how environmental toxins causes illness, will cause chaos in society. It would require doctors to use it in their epidemiologies, and the courts would be filled with lawsuits. What would add to the chaos, is that there is no test for the affects caused by environmental toxins(you can do a toxicology for an acute circumstance, but can not measure the affects over the years and attribute it to the toxins). So, the medical community is restricted to only severe objectivitity when it comes to these considerations(e.g. How asbestos causes Mesothelioma, which is a specific type of Cancer only associated with asbestos). And from what I understand, it’s associated more with neurological illness, than cancer.
Of course, on an individual level, it’s best to keep your body free from toxins.

Edit: To be clear about my answer… I’m with you on this, as far as environmental toxins and healthy eating. I’m just stating why it isn’t widely displayed.
